Armstrong Hired as Founding Director of Operations for new Type 2 Charter School
January 20, 2016 - Baton Rouge - Rebecca Armstrong has been hired as the Founding Director of Operations for Apex Collegiate Academy, a new Type 2 Charter School opening in Baton Rouge in August 2016 to 120 sixth graders. Ms. Armstrong is responsible for leading and managing the school’s external and internal operations. As a member of Apex Collegiate Academy's leadership team, she supports the organization in delivering and executing on its mission by ensuring exemplary customer service towards teachers, students, and parents. A goal-oriented leader with extensive operations experience in system administration, human resources, accounting, and marketing and communications, Ms. Armstrong has a proven record of accomplishment in bringing about operational efficiency. Ms. Armstrong received her bachelor of arts degree in Mass Communications from Dillard University and her Master's Degree from Tulane University.
